Tim Cook has hired a number of advertising executives earlier this year in preparation for the launch of an ad-supported Apple TV+ subscription.
The launch of ad-supported subscriptions takes time in Norway.
According to The Telegraph, Apple is in active discussions with the "Broadcaster’s Audience Research Board (BARB)" in the UK to regulate ad tracking.
Companies like Disney and Netflix have already had talks with BARB, supporting the theory that Apple is gearing up to launch a advertising-related service related to Apple TV+.
Apple TV+ costs 99 NOK per month, and is also included in the Apple One package which includes iCloud+ 50GB, Music, and Arcade for 219 NOK per month.
Netflix and Disney have already launched ad-supported subscriptions, with Netflix launching theirs in October 2022.
Despite expectations of a launch in January, it may still take some time for an affordable Apple TV+ service to be available in Norway due to the delays faced by other companies in rolling out their own ad-supported subscriptions.
