Tre australske tenåringer ble reddet etter å ha kjørt seg fast i et øde område sør for Kalbarri.
De skrev "HJELP" i sanden, som ble oppdaget av en pilot som fløy over området.
Politiet ble kontaktet og med hjelp fra Australian Maritime Safety Authority ble tenåringene funnet uskadd.
De hadde vært strandet i seks timer før de ble fraktet til Lucky Bay av venner og familie.
Dette er ikke første gang bokstaver i sanden har blitt brukt som nødsignal, andre tilfeller inkluderer redning av en mann og en gutt i NSW og tre menn på en øy i Mikronesia.
I alle tilfellene ble nødsignalet i sanden avgjørende for å redde personenes liv.
