Police were alerted to a report of a girl under 14 being gang-raped outside the cathedral in Molde last summer.
A group of five boys were quickly suspected, with the two oldest being convicted of gang rape on Thursday.
A 19-year-old man was sentenced to 5 years in prison, while an 18-year-old received a 5.5-year sentence with conditions and probation for 3 years.
The sentences were a half year harsher than what the prosecutor requested.
Both were also ordered to pay 280,000 kroner in compensation.
The court emphasized the seriousness of the offense, especially due to videos of the assault being shared on social media.
The younger boys involved were too young to be prosecuted.
Defense attorneys indicated a likelihood of appealing the verdict.
The assault occurred outside the cathedral entrance in Molde, with varying accounts presented during the trial.
Following the assault, the boys created a Snapchat group with a suggestive name related to rape, which aided the police in identifying the perpetrators.
