Around 15 women gathered in Moscow to demand the return of their husbands from military service.
They were protesting the labeling of the organization Put Domoij as foreign agents, who work to bring home men mobilized in September 2022.
One woman pleaded with a police officer to speak to the defense minister for their cause, pointing out her daughter and explaining how her husband was taken away three months after her birth.
The women eventually put down their posters as they were promised a meeting with a representative of the defense minister.
Previously, Russian authorities allowed similar protests in Moscow to prevent anger among relatives of soldiers in Ukraine, but now the labeling of the organization as a foreign agent indicates a change in their approach.
